Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
Tired of walking on eggshells around your child? PCIT is a structured, evidence-based program for children ages 2–7 with frequent tantrums, defiance, aggression, or emotional outbursts. This brief treatment uses live coaching to strengthen the parent-child relationship, build appropriate social skills, and teach effective discipline strategies. We also offer adapted versions of PCIT for anxiety and selective mutism.

Behavior Problems
Struggling with defiance, aggression, or big emotional outbursts? Frequent hitting, biting, yelling, or defiance can be signs of underlying emotion regulation problems. These behaviors often leave parents feeling overwhelmed and unsure how to help. At Little Futures, we help families understand what’s driving the behavior and teach practical, evidence-based strategies to bring more calm to everyday life.

Anxiety
In young children, anxiety often shows up as tantrums, rigidity, or defiance—leaving parents confused and overwhelmed. We help families recognize signs of anxiety and provide evidence-based treatment for generalized anxiety, separation anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, and selective mutism. With the right support, anxious children can become more confident, brave, and emotionally resilient.

Caitlin Scannell at Little Futures was an incredible resource for our family. My child's anxiety issues were at a peak when we started seeing her and she challenged them head on with tactics and associated homework that my child could understand, and that helped him decrease his health/food and general anxieties from 10/10 to a 2-3/10 that we are thrilled with. Caitlin cares deeply about the families that she works with and I recommend her highly.Google Review
I cannot recommend PCIT enough! Dr Hughes and Dr Larsen have changed our lives, the life of our child, and all of our futures. To say that our daily life was unbearable, is an understatement. The work involved in PCIT has changed that. If I could give them 10 stars, I would!Google Review
